I found this heart on my first day walking the Camino Frances .
A pilgrimage journey from St Jean Pied De Port in France to Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
A challenge for this fluffy senior , I was struggling with the elevation gains.
I took the wrong path in error, paused at a fence to catch my breath.
This heart was tucked into a bush beside me.
I noticed it only when I turned to continue my grunt up that mountain.
It brought me to tears.
I’ve made and hidden quilted hearts for a number of years , finding one myself so far from home & at a trying spot on my first day spirited me up and onward to my destination of the day.
I clipped it to my backpack for the remaining 4 weeks of my walk.
It is a very special memento of my Camino journey.
