My name is Danielle and my chihuahua is Finn. Finn and I walk the same route twice a day every day, which is around the community center. He is usually searching for frogs that are perched on the wall, but today we found something else hanging by the wall. At first my thought was “oh no, someone lost something” but then I saw that this cute heart needed a home. I grew up in foster care and I also work with foster youth, to me this heart represents a child stuck in the system ,”dangling” and waiting for someone to take them home. I am more than happy to give this heart a home just as my parents did for me when they found me and took me home, out of the system, 20 years ago.
