I found this beautiful heart at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary. My father was in the hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest. On the day, I found the heart, he was getting heart surgery. I couldn’t believe it! I was so moved by the random act of kindness that I was brought to tears. And the symbolism of finding a heart while dad was getting heart surgery, was not lost on me. It gave me hope and was the warm hug I needed. Dad is well and is resting at home, and I will forever keep the heart as a symbol of kindness, love and hope. Thank you so much.
