My wife and I walk our dogs at the lighthouse daily and saw the beautiful quilted heart hanging from a tree along side the road. We talked about taking it but decided to leave if for someone who really needed one. When returning to the lighthouse to go home we ran into 2 ladies and began chatting with them. As it turned out one of the ladies had been to Maine many times before with her husband and had talked about moving here for years. Unfortunately her husband passed away 3 months ago and she was there sharing memories of their time together in Maine. At that point my wife Marti ran back to get the heart and presented to her as a memory of Maine. Needless to say they were extremely moved by the heart and will take it home with them to cherish.
