Today I decided spur of the moment to go for a brief walk down a route in my neighborhood I haven’t taken for a long time. The sun was shining and I wanted to feel the warmth. I walked for some time until reaching a point where sidewalk was about to become a grassy dirt path. Before I made this crossing out of the corner of my left eye I noticed something small and yellow hanging from the branch of a tree. To my surprise it was a little yellow fabric heart tied to the tree branch with a white satin ribbon. The yellow heart had little swirls on it and a beautiful white stitched leaf embroidery in the same shape as the heart. I was very curious and intrigued and delighted to see this heart. I’ve been really into yellow and it is now one of my favorite colors. Upon grabbing the heart while it was still tied to the branch I flipped it over to see the other side. And I was completely and very happily surprised-the other side of the fabric was a black and white plaid pattern with three big sunflowers on it!!! And a very cute red plastic lady bug glued onto it as well! I just could not believe it! Sunflowers are my absolute favorite flower!!! I seriously needed this today! Thank you God! God is Good! I untied the heart and pressed the quilted heart to my heart and held it there all the way home. I believe God led me to this, I know it. I want to thank whoever made this quilted heart too. They have no idea how much their act of kindness brought me happiness, hope, and joy. Because all day yesterday I had been feeling very depressed, unmotivated, ashamed, and feeling completely hopeless to the point of suicidal thoughts. Thank you kind person, whoever you are to remind me there is still so much joy in the world, that I am loved, it’s okay to be happy and to keep living and moving forward.
