It was Saturday, March 26 2016. I was hiking around, north of the golden gate bridge. It was a beautiful day and I was with a large group of boisterous hikers. We started at the Palomarin trail head and hiked over the Alamere Falls on the beach near Bolinas. On the way back, I saw the Heart hanging on a tree. I thought it was something someone had found on the trail and hung up for easy finding. As I looked closer, I saw the “I need a home!” note pinned to the front and was delighted to pluck it off the branch for myself. When I got home I told my kids about it and they couldn’t believe such things happened.
