I am an oncology pharmacist. Most of my days I love what I do. Today was not one of them. I was struggling with not enough staff to help and too many patients who were just so sick.
It was very busy and nothing I seemed to do was enough. I walked outside to take a moment to collect my thoughts and as I walked to our fountain something caught my eye in the bush. I thought it was trash. I stopped and lifted a Purple Heart 💜 out if the bush. I found a quilted heart. Thank you to whoever put it in that bush outside my oncology clinic. My eyes filled with tears – what a simple act of kindness.
