My mother passed away 8 years ago this month and several weeks ago I was gifted her 15-year old best friend, “Baby Dog”. Baby Dog was very frail and came to me with very special needs. She was deaf and mostly blind and had a number of other serious health issues. I didn’t know how long I would have her but I knew that with me she would be loved and have the best of everything. All too soon a very difficult decision had to be made and the vet agreed it was time. I prayed this morning for a sign that she would be with my mom after her passing. I didn’t know what that would be but I asked anyway. I took my other pups to the dog park after her passing today. In a tree on that trail was this heart. That was when I knew my prayer had been answered, and they were together again. Happy Mother’s Day Mom. Your best friend is now beside you. Thank you for this sign. It was a sense of peace that I needed very much today.
