A serendipitous encounter with a quilted heart
While on a road trip, dodging hurricanes and filling my heart with Celtic music….I was hiking with my dog in Ben Eoin provincial park, when high up in a tree, a weathered heart, caught my attention. I gathered my tallest self and untangled a perfect quilted heart! This was October 2022, just after the hurricane had come through. Branches were everywhere and yet, the wee clothespin kept the heart securely attached. What a story this heart could tell, being tossed around for many days! I knew it was meant for my home, when I saw the sailboats on the reverse side! It was a very special trip, made even more special by this wonderful gift! Thank you to the kind and talented person, who created this work of art. It was found by someone who will cherish it forever!
