A group of us friends and spouses were following the guided tour to seek the Thomas Dambo Trolls, a collection of very large art scultures made from recycled or repurposed materials hidden in the landscape of lical public spaces. It was a cool, windy fall day at the Dunton Locks County Park just south of Detroit Lakes MN when I saw a sandwich bag blown up against some construction zone silt fencing. I picked it up assuming it was litter, and upon closer inspection realized it had something more interesting inside – a quilted heart!
