I found the quilted heart hanging on a tree while hiking on the quarry loop trail in the Auburn recreational area. It was on a Saturday before going to my dear friend Alan’s wedding. I was in a reflective mood and wanting to be one with my thoughts and enjoy a bit of nature. I was having a lot of questions about myself, what I want to do as I move forward in my professional life, and how to be a better person overall. This heart made my day as it reminded me about LOVE. That day was about being there for my friend Alan and his wife Erika. It was about sharing with old friends and enjoying the moment. It reminded me to stay in the present and not let my mind go too far beyond. What is important is right in front of us.
