I was on my way home to Florida from my cabin in Tennessee after spending a few days up there to fix my security cameras. It was an unexpected trip so I went alone with just my dog. I stopped at a Loves gas station that had a dog park. It was raining and cold out but I let my little dog out to potty and noticed this little heart on the ground. At first glance I thought someone had forgotten their dog toy. It looked so sweet and obviously home made something made me go back and pick it up. I did look around to see if anyone was around who lost it, nobody.
It was in the grass and absolutely soaked. I for some reason couldn’t leave it there! I picked it up and only then saw the little note attached that someone had in fact left it there to be found!! I have a soft spot for little quilts. I own a dog grooming salon. I have for 27 years. My most precious gift was a quilt made for me by one of my customers from 14 years of bananas I had placed on her dog each time I groomed her!! Then she even made another smaller version for my frenchie. This was just meant to be! I will def keep and cherish this sweet little heart we rescued from the rain 🙂
