My husband found this heart on one of our twice-a-day walks though Haines Park on Sunday, July 9. This has been a difficult season juggling different aspects of life that are BIG. I had determined a few moments before to be thankful for the little things like the beautiful weather we had that weekend, and beautiful skies, a happy dog that loves our walks, etc. We walked through the rose garden at this park and my husband mentioned seeing a heart in a tree I had just passed, I sighed and asked if it was a carving and all he got out was, “No,” and I just knew. I ran back to the tree and squealed, telling him we had to take it and why. It brought such a sweet little moment of joy and happiness, and the cats on the fabric look just like our “grandcat” that we adore.
