Tucson, AZ USA

I found a quilted heart tonight while walking our dogs on the Desperado Loop trail in the Sweetwater Preserve in Tucson, AZ. I didn’t know what it was, hanging from a creosote bush just by the trail and initially I walked right past it. I doubled back and read the label and looked at the IFAQH website and took the heart. I cried a few tears of gratitude when I realized how much this small random of act kindness meant to me after this past week. On Monday our cat was diagnosed with a condition that requires all of her teeth to be pulled (she goes in tomorrow), on Tuesday my 90yo father had a stroke and is in the ICU and I can’t visit him because on Wednesday I found out that I have covid (for the the first time). Finding this heart, at this point in time, gave me such reprieve and reaffirms that people are wonderful and things will be okay. Sending love and light to all the IFAQH volunteers. With love, Piroschka
