Roanoke Rapids, NC USA

A friend’s mother recently passed. The funeral was scheduled the day I was to leave from NC to PA and was not able to attend. But, I was able to be with my mom and family members for a short trip to Gettysburg National Park. On the return home, we stopped at the NC Welcome center in Roanoke Rapids, NC. On the way back to the car, I spotted the quilted heart and pointed it out to my mom. What a great token at the end of our trip as a reminder to cherish those that we have and to count our blessings….mine is, I still have my mom. I’ll display this heart as a reminder to be thankful for all I’ve been blessed with.
