Pt. Reyes, CA USA

I am a birdwatcher. Even though there is not a lot to see at Pt. Reyes National Seashore this time of year, my husband and I went there for the day. We drove out to Schooner Bay off Drake’s Estero to see what birds were there – hardly any at all. But then I noticed on the wall a lovely quilted heart with a note on it saying ‘you are loved!’ So it was indeed worth the drive. We drove further on and stopped at the overlook heading out to Chimney Rock. The water was full of birds – Common Murres, cormorants, pelicans and more! And blowing in the strong wind, hung on the fence (minus its tag) was another heart. Figuring its life was short due to the wind, I took it too (and even though we aren’t supposed to pass it on to someone, I will do that.
