I went to walk on the beach today to enjoy this early spring like weather. I actually found two hearts in separate locations. I saw the first heart hanging on a bush by the sidewalk. It caught my eye because the breeze was making it spin. I read the note but decided to leave it there thinking maybe a little girl would find it and want to take home the pretty pink heart. I decided to use a different path to return to my car. I passed a faucet that is used to wash your feet of sand. That is where I found the pretty blue heart. At that point I absolutely knew I was taking this one. My car was parked near the spot I saw the first heart. When I got to my car I looked to see if the heart was still there. It was still there! I decided to take this one too. They both are so very pretty. I will not keep both hearts. I will hang one in a special place. I have never heard of this idea before today. It is wonderful. The feeling I got when I saw the first heart was “aww that is so pretty” and someone spent their time to make this and then hang it for someone else to have. I hope whoever makes these and leaves them at Ocean Isle Beach sees this post and it make them feel as happy as I did today.
