Mesa, AZ USA

The morning of Sunday January 28, 2024, my daughter and I were headed to the baseball field to watch the remaining games of my son’s baseball tournament. We are from San Diego and had traveled to Mesa, AZ for his tournament. Sundays are Championship Day and always a little nerve wracking. At least for me as mom. We entered the empty elevator, and the quilted heart was dangling from the handrailing. I grabbed it and got a huge smile and sense of relief. I immediately thought of my Granny that had passed away because quilting was her passion! I took it as a sign that she was with us, and we were going to have a great day and take home the Championship. (I hope that didn’t sound too crazy) I love that there are people out there spreading this joy around. It had such a positive impact on us and brightened our day tremendously. I am absolutely certain that it is something that my Granny would have loved to be a part of. Thank you to all of you that participate! oh and by the way, my son’s team, San Diego STIX, were the 18U Southwest Classic Champions!!! Thank you so much from Tracy, Kinsley, and Jesse.
