Boulder Creek, CA USA

I found my quilted heart as I began a hike with my friend Tom on Saturday, June 20 at Big Basin in Boulder Creek, CA. It was tucked away in an old tree trunk on way to the trailhead. This was a memorable trip as Tom brought his other friend. She is the most unpleasant person I have ever met in my life. She complained the entire time and reminded us throughout the 11 mile hike that she hated hiking (why didn’t she just stay home?). Luckily, Tom and I were able to drown her out and still enjoy ourselves. You can’t let debbie downer’s get to you, especially when you are in a beautiful place like Big Basin. Finding the quilted heart made the day that more special for me and was a reminder that life is pretty sweet. You need to take the time to enjoy it and not sweat the little things.Orange and Blue Heart
